Energy Sector | Cloud Backend Engineer (AWS)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cloud Backend Engineer to join our development this role you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining scalable cloud-based applications within the AWS ecosystem. You will play a pivotal role in building robust REST APIs ensuring seamless third-party integrations and upholding the highest standards of code quality and architectural best practices.

The ideal candidate possesses an analytical mindset a deep understanding of the AWS SDK for JavaScript and a proven track record of delivering reliable backend solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables

• Cloud Backend Development: Design implement and maintain scalable backend services and logic using within the AWS environment.

• API Management: Develop high-performance RESTful APIs and manage complex integrations with external third-party service providers.

• Infrastructure as Code: Utilize AWS CloudFormation and other tools to deploy and manage infrastructure across services like Lambda EC2 and S3.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure rigorous quality parameters through comprehensive testing and validation prior to delivery.

• Version Control: Maintain disciplined code versioning practices to ensure project stability and collaborative efficiency.

• Best Practices: Advocate for and implement industry-standard best practices ensuring the use of value-added tools and modern development methodologies.

Qualifications :

Technical Expertise

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Statistics or a related technical field.

• Experience: Up to 5 years of professional experience in backend development roles.

• Core Stack: Proven expertise in and the AWS SDK for JavaScript.

• AWS Ecosystem: Strong hands-on experience with a broad range of AWS services including:

  • Compute & Serverless: Lambda EC2.

  • Networking & Content: VPC Route53.

  • Storage & Databases: S3 DynamoDB RDS (MySQL).

  • Messaging & Integration: SNS SQS.

  • Deployment: CloudFormation.

• Databases: Solid understanding of relational database management specifically MySQL.

Certifications (Highly Desired)

• AWS Certified Developer Associate

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate

Soft Skills & Competencies

• Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Analytical Thinking: A natural problem-solver with an analytical mind and high attention to detail.
