About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Room Leader to join our Early Years Hubs Team at Wantirna South on a temporary basis until 7 August 2026.

The Room leader role is an opportunity to broaden and build relationships and connections with colleagues and community. Professional practice is strengthened as we have opportunities to share and develop our knowledge skills and expertise with a wider team.

As a Room Leader you will deliver high-quality care and education for children aged 06 oversee daily room operations and staff ensure compliance with standards and collaborate with families and colleagues across the service.

Who is eligible to apply

• Offered to permanent full-time and part-time (where possible) Diploma Educators.
• Diploma Educators currently employed on a fixed-term basis are also able to apply however please note term of appointment will align with current contract.

We are looking for highly skilled Diploma Educators who demonstrate:

• Excellent/outstanding/highly regarded skills as a Diploma Educator;
• Contemporary knowledge of recognised best practice for Early Childhood Education and Care Services;
• Understanding of and the ability to provide leadership in relation to Knox Policies and Procedures values VEYLDF National Quality Standards and the Pyramid Model;
• Strong understanding and implementation of relevant Laws Regulations standards and approved frameworks; and
• Ability to act as Responsible Person in day-to-day charge of the service.

This is afixed term role based at Wantirna South Early Learning Hub until 7 August 2026.

This is a Band 4 classified role; remuneration will be $73349.33 - $78124.95 (depending on experience) plus Room Leader allowance (total salary pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
