Job Summary
As the Mental Health Team Leader you will provide operational and clinical leadership to a dedicated mental health team ensuring the delivery of safe evidence-based and person-centred care. You will play a key role in supporting complex mental health presentations while fostering a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.
Work Days & Hours: Monday to Friday : 0800am 1600pm

This role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical care and will see you actively involved in:
- Leading and supporting a multidisciplinary mental health team
- Managing day-to-day mental health service delivery
- Conducting mental state examinations risk assessments and crisis interventions
- Supporting care coordination and medication management
- Facilitating case reviews clinical supervision and multidisciplinary meetings
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice
- Managing operational matters including rostering resources and reporting
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting staff development training and professional growth

To be successful in this role you will bring relevant tertiary qualifications in Mental Health Nursing Psychology Social Work Occupational Therapy or a related discipline along with current AHPRA registration or relevant professional membership where applicable and a minimum of 5 years working within the mental health sector. You will have demonstrated leadership experience within mental health services and strong clinical skills in assessment risk management and crisis intervention. You thrive in fast-paced and complex environments with the ability to lead and support multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a calm and professional approach. Your excellent communication stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills will allow you to build strong working relationships and deliver high-quality recovery-oriented care. Experience within correctional health detention forensic mental health AOD or other high-acuity settings will be highly regarded.
