The role

In this role as Senior Partner Diversity & Inclusion youll play a pivotal role in fostering a more inclusive and equitable workplace. Youll work closely with employee networks senior leaders and external partners to listen learn and co-design initiatives that support diversity equity and inclusion across the department. Your work will contribute to creating an environment where people feel represented supported and valued and where inclusive practice is embedded into everyday ways of working.

Youll operate within complex environments balancing diverse perspectives while supporting sustainable inclusive outcomes. This role is focused on enabling others building confidence supporting accountability and helping teams embed inclusive approaches into how they plan engage and deliver their work.

What you will bring to the role

You bring a collaborative thoughtful approach and are confident working across systems and particular you will demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication skills: with the ability to lead inclusive conversations and develop clear accessible messaging.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills: This role thrives on forging strong relationships with internal teams networks and external partners to deliver inclusive initiatives.
  • Empathy and emotional intelligence: Central to understanding lived experiences identifying barriers and creating meaningful programs that reflect the voices of diverse communities.
  • Experience delivering outcomes through collaboration balancing progress with meaningful engagement and shared ownership.
  • Cultural competence and intersectional awareness navigating diversity contexts with insight and care.
  • Experience designing inclusive programs resources or learning supporting belonging accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Strategic thinking aligning work with legislative frameworks sector priorities and organisational objectives.
  • Demonstrates strong working knowledge of diversity inclusion and belonging legislation coupled with hands-on experience delivering government-led initiatives aligned with sector frameworks and compliance requirements.

Key Knowledge and experience

  • Previous experience developing and implementing diversity and inclusion strategies and programs.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Diversity and Inclusion HR Business Engagement or other relevant experience.
