The Opportunity
Join the People and Culture team at Moonee Valley City Council as a Human Resources Business Partner and play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support and advice across the organisation.
Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner you will provide end-to-end recruitment support coordinate onboarding processes manage HR administration tasks and contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a dynamic and fast-paced role where no two days are the same.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment and onboarding activities including advertising onboarding pre-employment checks and drafting employment documentation
- Maintain employee records and HR systems including My Portal and iChris
- Provide timely and accurate HR advice to employees and managers relating to policies procedures and employment matters
- Process a variety of HR administration tasks including employment changes higher duties flexible work arrangements and terminations
- Assist with HR projects process improvements and compliance reporting activities.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant HR qualifications (or currently working towards) or demonstrated relevant experience
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A customer-focused and solutions-oriented approach
- Strong technology skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems
