Job Title: Junior to Intermediate Database Administrator (Oracle)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior to Intermediate Database Administrator (DBA) to support maintain and optimize Oracle database environments. The role involves ensuring database availability performance security and reliability while working closely with application and infrastructure teams.


Key Responsibilities
Manage and support Oracle database environments (12c 19c and above)
Monitor database health performance and availability using standard tools
Perform backup recovery and disaster recovery operations
Support database refresh cloning and migration activities
Troubleshoot database issues including performance and replication problems
Participate in capacity planning and growth management
Work with application teams for deployments and changes
Ensure database security compliance and patching activities
Support high availability solutions such as RAC and Data Guard
Participate in on-call support and incident resolution


Required Technical Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Oracle 12c 19c and above
Experience with RAC Data Guard RMAN ASM and OEM
Performance tuning skills (SQL and instance level) including AWR ASH ADDM analysis
Ability to analyze wait events SQL profiles and baselines
Experience troubleshooting RAC issues (inter-instance communication heartbeat)
Strong knowledge of backup and recovery (RMAN logical backups data loss scenarios)
Experience with database refresh and cloning (RMAN duplicate expdp/impdp)
Hands-on experience with Oracle GoldenGate including troubleshooting replication and lag issues
Experience with Data Guard setup and disaster recovery operations/testing
Knowledge of Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) and wallet management
Experience with monitoring and ticketing tools as part of daily DBA operations
Understanding of capacity management and database growth planning


Desired / Nice-to-Have Skills
Exposure to other database platforms (e.g. SQL Server PostgreSQL etc.)
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Knowledge of automation/scripting (Shell Python etc.)
Familiarity with DevOps or CI/CD environments

25 years of relevant DBA experience (flexible based on skill level)
