About the role
Cabrinis Supply Team oversees the management of sourcing and purchasing activity across the organisation providing efficient access to the goods and services required for our staff to deliver high quality care to patients. The Purchasing Officer is responsible for the efficient placement of cost-effective purchase orders for Cabrini Health. This role requires a candidate who will provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders and ensure a direct line of communication with service managers and vendors is maintained. Please Note: This is an on-site role 5-days a week.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing purchase orders from creation to closure with a discrete category of spend.
  • Ensuring timely supply of fit-for-purpose cost-effective goods and services.
  • Coordinating receipt packing and delivery of goods across the site.
  • Monitoring order activity resolving delivery issues and liaising with suppliers.
  • Investigating and reconciling invoice discrepancies returns credits and outstanding orders
  • Reconciling invoices and managing discrepancies returns and credits.
  • Supporting stocktakes and preparing reports as required.


What were looking for

  • At least 1-3 years relevant purchasing experience (healthcare/hospital setting highly regarded).
  • Strong skills in purchasing systems (JD Edwards e-Procurement advantageous)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven negotiation problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to finalise negotiations within tight deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands and work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and ethical approach.
