Role Overview:
We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our team and manage Huntsman Performance Productslogisticsoperations across EMEA. This role will focus onmanaging Logistics Provider relationshipscoordinating shipments and ensuring alllogisticsprocesses run smoothly and safely. As we expand andoptimizeourlogisticsoperations we need an expert intransportation andlogisticsprocesses who can drive efficiencies and collaborate closely with stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities:
As aLogisticsSpecialistEMEAyou willbe responsible for:
Managinglogisticsoperations across the EMEA region ensuringtimelyand efficient transportation of chemical products
Managing daytoday operational relationships with bulk and packedlogisticsservice providers (LSPs)
MonitoringlogisticsKPIs and working with providers to improve performance
Acting as the main point of contact and escalation between Logistics Service Providers and Customer Service
Supporting clear communication and expectation management between all involved stakeholders
Acting as a functional expert for packagingrelated topics
Preparing and filing Prior Inward Consent (PIC) licenses with the European Chemical Agency for imported and exported materials
Identifyingprocess gaps and inefficiencies and proposing improvements tooptimizesupply chain performance
Monitoring customer order behavioridentifyingtrends and managinglogisticsexceptions
Identifyingexceptions in import order processing and assessing their impact onlogisticsoperations
Overseeing transport execution costs andvalidatingadditionalcost requests
Verifying and controllinglogisticscosts in line with SOX compliance requirements
Supporting automation and digitalization initiatives withinlogisticsoperations
Participating in and supportinglogisticsprojects focused on process simplification cost reduction and efficiency improvements
Experience and Competencies:
What we are looking for:
Bachelors orMasters degree in Supply Chain Logistics or a related field
Minimum3 years of experienceinlogisticsor transport planning within anEMEA multinational environment
Handson experience ininternational road transport across EMEA; exposure to sea transport is a plus
Experience working withlogisticsservice providers / forwarders including performance monitoring cost control and escalation management
Experience withdangerous goods transportationis desirable; no certificatesrequired
Familiarity with customs clearance and AEO is highly desirable
Proficiencyin SAP and Excel forlogisticsoperations(similar ERP systems are also acceptable)
Fluent English isrequired
Stronganalyticalandproblem-solvingskills including rootcause analysis of delivery delays andlogisticsissues
Proven ability to analyzelogisticsdata drive results and implement strategic improvements.
Strong communicationskillsand confidence in handling difficult conversationswithforwarders
