Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Fire Alarm Technician your responsibilities will include:
Fire Protection System Auditing & Inspection
- Assist in conducting routine audits and inspections of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes standards and contractual requirements.
- Aid in identifying deficiencies document findings and support corrective actions to maintain safety and regulatory compliance.
Maintenance & Technical Support
- Work alongside experienced technicians to perform scheduled maintenance and testing of fire protection systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address system issues and support ongoing service contracts.
Reporting & Coordination:
- Assist in preparing clear and accurate inspection reports maintenance records and compliance documentation.
- Support coordination efforts related to service scheduling follow-ups and communication with project partners or clients.
Safety & Quality Assurance:
- Adhere to safety protocols industry standards and internal quality guidelines always.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by collaborating with experienced technicians to identify process enhancements or recurring system concerns.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Willingness to learn and work towards obtaining CFAA is required.
- 1 years of technical or field experience is considered an asset.
- Basic understanding of fire-alarm or electrical systems in considered an asset.
Technical Skills:
- Willingness to learn fire alarm systems and industry standards.
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation accurately.
- Ability to read and follow technical documentation inspection reports and compliance standards is considered an asset.
