The Role

Save the Childrens Impact & Evidence division is committed to ensuring that all children in rural America have a healthy strong foundation to thrive as learners and in life.

The Lead Associate Award Compliance Operations provides first line compliance support by reviewing donor agreements and amendments flagging potential risk areas and escalating to the Grants & Contracts team as necessary. You will ensure that award data is complete accurate and in accordance with donor and agency requirements.

The majority of this role supports Award Managementadvancing AMS workflows preparing Agresso Budget Templates (ABTs) when needed collaborating with Portfolio Managers to collect award details and ensuring award records remain current and compliant in AMS. The position requires meticulous attention to detail strong systems fluency and proactive cross-functional communication with Finance Program Quality & Impact Marketing & Growth and Award Management teams.

What Youll Be Doing (Essential Duties)

Award Record System Set-Up and Maintenance (70%)

  • Manage AMS workflows for IP and USP awards throughout award lifecycle (as applicable) ensuring metadata documentation and statuses are accurate and timely; ensuring compliance with SCUS award management policies and procedures.
  • Complete pre-award information risk and budget documentation as required for new USP awards and revisions
  • Collaborate with Award Management teams (USP and IP Portfolio Managers) to validate award requirements budget structures dimensions and funding rules prior to posting
  • Partner with Portfolio Managers and Program teams to collect award information (deliverables reporting cycles match/GIK requirements key contacts) and keep award records current in AMS.
  • Review awards modifications partner agreements and other related award documents when applicable; provide feedback and identify risk factors; liaise with relevant stakeholders in as necessary.
  • Ensure records are accurately set up and modified in Save the Childrens financial system (Agresso) by working closely with the Compliance Risk & Operations (CRO) team to draft and/or review new and modified awards in Agresso.
  • Support close-out workflows for USP and designated awards ensuring accuracy and completeness of awards records including completeness of donor reports fully executed agreements and amendments and other supporting documents.

Award Compliance Operations Monitoring (20%)

  • Run routine portfolio hygiene checks (e.g. missing documents expired reporting milestones budget misalignments) and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Assess award data quality within AMS & Agresso quarterly flag issues ensure corrections are made as needed.
  • Other monitoring activities as assigned

General Support (10%)

  • Other duties as assigned

Required qualifications for the role

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent plus at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Professional proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and good organizational skills
  • US Government and Private Donor knowledge
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve problems as well as recommend and implement solutions

Compensation

Save the Children is offering the following salary ranges for this position dependent on candidate location:

  • Geo 1 - NY Metro DC and other locations with labor costs significantly above national average: Target Salary for this position is $72250 - $80750 base salary
  • Geo 2 - Locations around the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $65450 - $73150 base salary
  • Geo 3 - Locations significantly below the US National Labor Cost Average: Target Salary for this position is $59500 - $66500 base salary

    The salary ranges listed above are for US based candidates. For candidates located outside of the US salary ranges will be based on the salary scales of the local employer of record. Actual base salary may vary based on but not limited to relevant experience base salary of internal peers business sector and geographic location (more information on job structure is available here).
