This position will provide assistance and guidance to project managers & interns.

Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing assigned capital projects at applicable enterprise locations. The role ensures successful execution of all project phases by coordinating with internal stakeholders external consultants contractors and regulatory bodies to deliver projects on time within budget and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. This position will provide assistance and guidance to project managers & interns.

Job Duties
  • Manage planning design and construction of capital projects including new buildings and renovations at applicable enterprise locations.
  • Coordinate and oversee both external contractors and in-house maintenance staff during construction and renovation activities.
  • Develop maintain and take accountability for project scope schedule and budget in alignment with client needs and organizational goals.
  • Responsible for Land Development of Greenfield and new construction sites.
  • Assist in preparation and management of contracts for architectural and engineering consultants and oversee design activities through construction administration.
  • Lead bidding award and construction execution processes to ensure projects are delivered safely efficiently and on schedule.
  • Oversee ancillary project components such as telecommunications/data coordination and relocation services.
  • Work independently and lead all capital project management from project start to completion.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in architecture engineering construction management or related field.
  • 10 years directly related experience in healthcare and / or higher education capital project management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems in healthcare laboratory and medical office environments.
  • Awareness of current industry trends and emerging technologies in MEP design.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit for basic tasks and file manipulation.
  • Proficient in project management software including eBuilder Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to develop internal project budget estimate and preliminary project schedule.
  • Working knowledge most current Guidelines for Healthcare Construction and building codes relevant to healthcare and research facilities.
  • Understanding of regulatory agencies such as the State Department of Health City of Philadelphia New Jersey Department of Health and The Joint Commission review and approval processes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree in architecture engineering construction management or related field.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing frequent keyboard use *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling bending squatting and performing CPR.
