Essential Skills

• Experience with demonstrable depth in AI and emerging technology security.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional or virtual teams in complex organisations through influence rather than authority.
• Experience developing and executing security strategy in a large or regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of AI threat taxonomy: prompt injection goal hijacking memory poisoning non-human identity abuse and multi-agent attack surfaces.
• Understanding of EU AI Act NCSC AI security guidelines OWASP GenAI Security Project and MITRE ATLAS.
• Ideally involved in academic and/or industry research on AI Security

Leadership behaviours:

• Strategic thinking: able to translate fast-moving threat intelligence into clear organisational direction.
• Influence-based leadership: build accountability and momentum across organisational boundaries without direct authority.
• Communication: produce high-quality briefings for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Intellectual rigour: engage with academic and industry research at practitioner depth.
• Pace and adaptability: able to operate effectively when the threat landscape changes faster than planning cycles.

Desirable

Relevant professional qualification: CISSP CCSP CISM or equivalent. Advanced or specialist credentials (ISSAP Chartered SABSA or equivalent) are advantageous.
