Are you ready to take the next step in your career Childrens Health Ireland (CHI) is now inviting applications for Clinical Specialist Radiographer - Fluoroscopy

Reporting to the Radiography Services Managers (RSMs) or designate the Fluoroscopy Clinical Specialist Radiographer will perform a pivotal role in service planning co-ordinating managing activity and allocating resources within the fluoroscopy department.

The post holder will be an active member of the multi-disciplinary team and will lead and supervise radiographic and other staff in the fluoroscopy suite resulting in the delivery of an efficient effective and quality fluoroscopy service. They need to work collaboratively within the multi-disciplinary team liaising with medical nursing and administrative colleagues to ensure safe and co-ordinated delivery of patient centred care.

The Fluoroscopy Clinical Specialist Radiographer will be responsible for the provision of radiation protection within the fluoroscopy suite reducing the risks of any adverse radiation effects in compliance with local policies national legislation and international regulations. They will be primarily responsible for ensuring that imaging in fluoroscopy is performed to a high standard of technical quality in a caring and efficient manner and in line with established guidelines and operating procedures.

Essential Requirements:

Bachelor of Radiography for Diagnostic Radiography or possess the Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent

AND

Be registered on the Radiography Division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU

AND

On appointment practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU once initial registration is secured
