Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technologist to join a busy diagnostic imaging team in New York NY. This part-time weekend opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking a consistent schedule while delivering exceptional patient care and imaging support.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with department protocols
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment effectively and safely
- Capture and upload high-quality diagnostic images to PACS systems
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams for accurate imaging support
- Assist with department workflow scheduling and supply management
- Support orientation and training of new imaging staff as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience required
- ARDMS certification required
- Valid RDMS and BLS certifications required
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging equipment and PACS systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer applications
- Excellent communication organizational and patient care skills
Education Requirements
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology
OR - High School Diploma/GED with completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography training program
