Faculty Part-time Nutritional Science

General Summary of the Position:

The Department of Biomedical & Nutritional Sciences (BNS) part of the Zuckerberg College of Health Sciences (ZCHS) at the University of Massachusetts Lowell (UML) is seeking part-time adjunct instructors to teach in its undergraduate and graduate Nutritional Science program. This posting is to ensure that we have strong candidates in our adjunct instructor pool for any immediate and/or future needs. Teaching opportunities could be in a variety of subject areas in both lecture and laboratory courses as well as clinical settings. Candidates will become an integral part of the program working in collaboration with seasoned instructors from the department. Teaching opportunities may vary by semester.

Minimum Qualifications (required):

• A minimum of a masters degree in nutrition or closely related field for lecture courses.
• The desire and ability to work with diverse groups of students peers and supervisors.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English both verbal and written.

Additional considerations:

• Previous teaching experience at the university/college level is highly desirable.
• Candidates with doctoral degrees will be given preference.
• A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential is required for clinical instruction.
