CNC Machinist – Wire EDM Operator

LK Jordan is currently hiring for one of our top clients in the North Houston / Magnolia Gardens area. We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with hands-on experience operating a Wire EDM machine. Position Overview

The Wire EDM Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Wire EDM machinery to produce precision metal components to exact specifications. This role requires strong machining knowledge attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Wire EDM machines (FANUC ROBOCUT preferred)
• Read and interpret blueprints drawings and work instructions
• Program edit and troubleshoot machine settings as needed
• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of finished parts
• Inspect completed parts using precision measuring tools
• Maintain tight tolerances and quality standards
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized
• Troubleshoot machine or production issues as they arise

Qualifications

• 3 years of CNC machining experience required
• Previous experience operating Wire EDM machines required
• Experience with FANUC ROBOCUT highly preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience working with tight tolerances and precision parts
• Proficient with calipers micrometers and other measuring tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Stable work history and strong attention to detail
