What you will do
The Category buyer is responsible for project spend for APAC region. Responsibilities include supplier scouting selection supplier management price & contract negotiations drive product optimization and working capital management. The buyer will develop and execute a category strategy that supports the companys profitable growth plans. They will be the primary owner of cost savings and working capital improvements.
How you will do it
- Drive year-over-year improvement in field material spend through supplier negotiation.
- Driveyear-over-year improvement in working capital through supplier payment term management.
- Develop field material category strategy by category cluster implement category strategy in sourcing decision of field projects.
- APAC Field material business partner to for APAC multi-countries connect APAC Field material category team with Country daily sourcing activities.
- Supplier account management for selection of suppliers. Develop strategies to effectively manage and optimize the supply base.
- Manage supplier performance and organize regular business reviews with suppliers of responsibility.
- Negotiation and maintenance of contracts and supply conditions.
- Insights to supply base market intelligence & dynamics scouting new suppliers to support the business growth.
- Deploy a global preferred supplier strategy to improve supplier quality delivery and cost.
What we look for
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering Supply Chain Management Project Management International Trading or related Business Degree. Master degree is a plus.
- Experience in sourcing/procurement2 years. Experience in Fire industry or project purchasing is a plus.
- Language: Fluent English is must.
- Knowledge of fire categories (e.g. fire detection fire suppression) is preferred.
- Ability to handle APAC region will be added advantage.
- Excellent negotiation skills being able to build a compelling case and convince others; familiar with contracting
- Good interpersonal skills to enable and manage strategic relationships
- Adaptable towards a rapidly changing environment
- Experience in working in multi-cultural teams
- Experience in international trade
- Advance in MS Excel especially well-verse in generating Pivot Table and VLOOKUP is a must
- Experience in analyzing data and sensitive with data
