Material Handler III

General Description

Experiencedsenior-level material handling position responsible forhigh production high complexity activitiesloading unloading and moving materials within thewarehouse ina safe and efficient Handler III roles are typically assigned tocomplex andimportant client accountsaccountsthat arehighly sensitiveaccountsrequireahighlevelof effectivecommunicationandmay consist ofhigh value goods handling.

Only authorized to use the following equipment after successful training:

• Pallet jack
• Rider jack
• Standup
• Order/Cherry Picker
• Turret Truck
• Reach Truck
• Forklift over 5K

Not authorized to use

• No heavy lifts(forklift15k and above)

The key differentiators for thispositionare:

• Must be a member of the Safety Committee at least once during the year.
• Must be a trainer and exhibit competency in training others.
• Must know all accounts and be able to perform every floor function in the branch.

Essential Job Functions

• Check for vendor accuracy create bill of ladings (BOLs)
• Responsible forvalidatingno damage to the cargo ensure correct labeling perform quality checklistsignoff on load accuracy kitting sub-assembly
• Handlehazardous materialspacking checking MSDS and otherrequiredpaperwork
• Fills client orders safely efficiently and within Crane SOPs.
• Responsible for ensuring that distribution activities are conducted in accordancewith internal quality standards while maintaining a safe work environment.
• Reads and follows work orders and follows instructions toascertainmaterials or container loads to be moved
• Operates a forklift or other drivable warehouse equipment including but not limited to high reachvehicleor similar.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or frompallets trays racks and shelves by hand forklift or other warehouse equipment.
• Loads materials into vehicles and installs strappingbracingor padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
• Counts weighs and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet
• Attachesidentifyingtags or labels to materials
• Scans freight via warehouse management system with RF equipment
• Completes required paperwork thoroughly and promptly.
• Performs housekeeping tasks tomaintaina safe work environment.
• Accurately and courteously load client merchandise
• Jobrequirespresence on-site at the assigned work location

Other Skills & Abilities

• EDI Knowledge: Extensive understanding of EDI standards (ANSI X12 EDIFACT) and working knowledge of XML JSON data formats
• Data Mapping: Ability to translate business and technical requirements into detailed field-by-field data mappings
• Project Management: Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and maintain team velocity
• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to manage expectations communicate proactively and navigate competing priorities across multiple stakeholder groups Logistics industry knowledge (freight forwarding warehousing customs brokerage)
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with ability to identify issues early and develop solutions independently
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Agile Execution: Ability to work within agile frameworks create actionable stories and drive work to completion against target dates
• Team Collaboration: Works effectively with cross-functional teams while taking ownership of project outcomes
• Judgment & Escalation: Demonstrates sound judgment in knowing when to resolve issues independently vs. when to escalate to management
• Integration experience in retail government high tech or energy verticals
• SQL or other programming language experience
• Experience with integration platforms (Boomi Sterling Integrator Informatica)

Physical Requirements

• Job requires the ability to use vision adjust focus and work on a standard computer screen
• Stand or sit forlong periodsof time
• Reach with hands and arms and stoop kneel crouch andfrequentlyrequiredtoclimb or balance
• Regularly lift and/or move 50 pounds by hand
• Job requires presence on-site at the assigned work location

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Greater than threeyearsofrelated experience

Certification and Licenses

• Forklift certification must be obtained within30 daysof hire.
• Other professional certification may berequiredin some areas as assigned.
