Job Summary
Job Title: Nurse Practitioner (Oncology)
Location: Syracuse NY
Contract Duration: 15 Weeks
Pay Rate:
Local : Up to $74.86/hr
Travel : Up to $85/hr
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift 8:00 AM 4:30 PM Weekly Hours: 42.5 Hours Monday Friday
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Nurse Practitioner (Oncology) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse NY.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and clinical evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized care plans with physicians
- Manage and monitor patients in acute care setting
- Document assessments treatment plans and progress notes in EMR
- Provide patient and family education on diagnoses and treatments
- Utilize prescriptive authority per NYS regulations and policies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results
- Respond to changes in patient condition and provide interventions
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license/registration
- NP specialty certification aligned with practice area
- Minimum 1 year NP experience required
- Inpatient hospital experience preferred
- Oncology experiencerequired
- CPR and ACLS certification required
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
