Valcourts path to Vision 2028 requires technology that moves at business speed. Today the gap between business demand and technology delivery is a constraint on growth acquisition integration and operational scale. This role closes that gap by embedding a senior technology leader who owns the business relationship the solution design the delivery accountability and the adoption outcomesnot just the project handoff.
This is not a project manager or an IT liaison. This is a business-outcome owner who operates at the intersection of strategy process product and AI enablement.
What This Role Owns
Business Relationship & Demand Management
- Owns IT business relationship management across all divisions and corporate functions
- Ensures business demand is captured shaped and tied to measurable outcomes before entering delivery
- Helps business leaders distinguish symptoms from root causes and local optimization from enterprise value
Business Process Facilitation
- Leads process discovery current-state analysis and future-state designwithout taking process ownership from the business
- Challenges business stakeholders against best practices scalability and automation opportunities
- Converts process findings into requirements product concepts and roadmap items tied to margin efficiency or revenue outcomes
Product Strategy Solution Architecture & Major Implementations
- Owns the business-facing product roadmap for new capabilities and major platform initiatives
- Owns business-solution architecture: problem framing MVP definition cross-platform design and implementation approach
- Holds overall accountability for major custom development and large platform implementations (including Salesforce)
Custom Development & AI-Assisted Delivery
- Builds a capability to accelerate the software development lifecycle using AI-enabled tools (Claude Code Cursor GitHub Copilot)
- Defines standards for AI-assisted prototyping application development testing and workflow automation
- Measures impact through cycle-time reduction prototype speed defect rates and delivery throughput
Enterprise AI Strategy Governance & Enablement
- Partners with the CIO to operationalize and mature the enterprise AI strategy
- Develops baseline AI usage standards instruction frameworks compliance metrics and governance routines
- Identifies and prioritizes high-value AI use cases across field operations sales finance HR and IT
- Provides the CIO with regular visibility into AI adoption business value and risk posture

- AI adoption is measurable compliant and producing visible productivity and risk reduction

- Reduced rework caused by unclear requirements or poorly framed business problems
- Faster conversion of business opportunities into prototypes automations and roadmap-ready initiatives
- Shadow IT and fragmented business-led experimentation are reduced
Who This Person Is
The right candidate is a business-oriented technology executive who can operate comfortably between strategy and execution. They must be able to engage senior leaders challenge assumptions constructively and build a function that makes IT engagement more structured and outcome-oriented.
- Senior technology leadership experience in a complex multi-site acquisition-driven or PE-backed environment
- Demonstrated track record building or leading BRM business technology partner product management or digital transformation functions
- Experience owning major enterprise platform implementations and custom development programs
- Practical fluency in AI strategy governance and responsible AI adoption
- Strong working knowledge of Salesforce ERP field services integrations and workflow automation
- Bachelors required; MBA preferred
