Job Description:
About the Role:
We are seeking a Tax Paraprofessional to join our Tax team based in our corporate office in Oak Brook IL. This role is responsible for supporting tax filings payments and compliance activities by ensuring timely accurate and effective coordination of tax data documentation and processes. The Tax Paraprofessional partners closely with internal teams including Accounts Payable and Treasury to help maintain organized workflows support compliance requirements and contribute to the overall efficiency of the Tax function.
Youll add value to this role by performing various functions including but not limited to:
- Maintaining tax filing calendars and tracking deliverables to ensure timely completion
- Coordinating the preparation and submission of tax returns and payments
- Managing document routing for signatures and ensuring timely approvals
- Processing tax payments and supporting related reporting activities
- Assisting with sales and use tax filings and related compliance requirements
- Supporting responses to tax notices and coordinating with external agencies
- Maintaining accurate tax records and documentation
- Supporting annual filings and special tax-related projects
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency
- Other assigned duties
Important Details:
- This is a full-time hybrid schedule role based in Oak Brook IL.
- The anticipated compensation for this position ranges from $16.35 $30.29 USD per hour. This is the lowest to highest pay we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employees position within the pay range will be based on several factors including but not limited to specific competencies relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements and business or organizational needs. For certain roles the successful candidate may be eligible for annual discretionary merit compensation award or bonus.
Youll fit right in if you have:
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field preferred
- Three or more years of experience in a tax accounting or finance support role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with tools such as Alteryx Power Query or similar platforms preferred
