Compensation
Hourly rate based on experience: $29.73/hr $43.20/hr
Sign-On Bonus:
- $10000 (Day Shift)
- $20000 (Night Shift)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Pulmonary Unit within a Med-Surgical setting. This unit cares for adult patients with a variety of respiratory and pulmonary conditions in a high-acuity fast-paced environment.
The RN will be responsible for delivering direct patient care performing clinical assessments and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Unit Details
- 45-bed Med-Surg Pulmonary Unit
- High-acuity respiratory patient population
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 7:1
- Team-based collaborative care model
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions treatments and medications
- Advocate for patient safety and quality outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards
- Utilize hospital resources efficiently
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within the last 2 years)
- Active Florida RN License or Compact RN License
- Compact license holders must obtain Florida licensure within 60 days
- Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required
- BLS (AHA) certification required prior to start
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days of employment
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience in pulmonary or Med-Surg nursing
Candidate Requirements
- Must reside within a commutable distance of the facility
- In-person interview required prior to offer (may include shadowing and facility tour)
- Must be comfortable managing a 7:1 patient ratio
