Sr Product Manager-Technical, SCOT Forecasting & Labs

A core part of making this possible is predicting the future: How much will customers order How long will new inventory take to arrive What is the long-term customer impact of changes in availability and delivery speed And much more.

We address these questions through state-of-the-art machine learning systems that generate hundreds of millions of fine-grained predictions. These forecasts are automatically consumed by systems that order store and route inventory ensuring customers find the products they want when they need them and delivered faster than ever. Our work spans the full lifecycle: from foundational research and large-scale experimentation to production deployment and downstream impact measurement.

We need your skills to help us push the boundaries of whats possible. Amazons SCOT Forecasting team is looking for a Sr. Product Manager-Tech with a proven ability to influence across multiple organizations and drive this role you will define and drive the long-term vision for both established and greenfield forecasting products within an ever-evolving supply chain landscape. You will partner closely with scientists and engineers to build state-of-the-art deep learning-based systems that generate the predictions and estimates required to optimize Amazons supply chain at scale. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn how we bring advanced science including Deep Learning Foundation Models and Large Language Models out of the lab and into production systems that serve Amazons worldwide supply chain. Key job responsibilities
Specifically as a Sr PM-T in forecasting you will be responsible for:
- Working backwards from customer problems to define the 3-5 year vision for Forecasting products and working with scientists and engineering to achieve that vision
- Driving strategic communications (e.g. decision narratives investment proposals)
- Communicating earning trust and influencing stakeholders from multiple organizations
- Working backwards from customers in the supply chain and business units to proactively identify opportunities
- Experimenting and scaling new products and models from prototype to production worldwide
- Diving into technical solutions and alternatives to understand areas of opportunity defects and customer needs

- 5 years of product or program management product marketing business development or technology experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience managing technical products or online services
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

- Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL Excel and other tools
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
