PURPOSE
The role supports financial planning cost control and value realization across the CIO division. The role bridges Finance and IT by providing financial insight budgeting discipline and cost transparency for technology spend including run change and transformation initiatives. The analyst enables informed decisionmaking by ensuring accurate financial forecasts clear reporting and strong governance over IT investments.

You will engage with the following stakeholders:

  • Cost Centre Managers
  • Product Managers
  • Senior Executives
  • Senior Heads of BUs

Your key responsibilities include:
Financial Planning & Budgeting

  • Support the development of annual IT budgets multi year forecasts and long range plans.
  • Partner with IT stakeholders to understand demand drivers cost structures and funding requirements.
  • Track budget versus actuals identify variances and provide clear explanations and recommendations.

Cost Management & Analysis

  • Monitor and analyze IT operating and capital expenditures (e.g. software hardware cloud vendors projects).
  • Establish and maintain cost allocation models (e.g. chargeback / showback).
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities efficiency improvements and savings initiatives.
  • Work with Cloud FinOps team to get insights into cost drivers

Forecasting & Financial Modelling

  • Prepare rolling forecasts for IT spend incorporating changes in demand project timelines and vendor costs.
  • Build financial models and business cases for IT initiatives including ROI NPV and payback analysis where applicable for review
  • Construct and maintain financial model in support of revenue and cost tracking and budgeting using best practice methodologies and automation where possible
  • Support investment prioritization and portfolio decision making.
  • Post investment Analysis (such as tracking costs& benefits)

Reporting & Governance

  • Produce regular management reports and dashboards on IT financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls accounting standards and internal governance processes.
  • Support audits by providing timely accurate financial information related to IT.

Business Partnering

  • Act as a trusted finance partner to IT leaders product owners and project managers.
  • Translate financial information into clear actionable insights for non finance stakeholders.
  • Support vendor management discussions including contract renewals and commercial assessments.

Training and Knowledge Development

  • Engage in training programs to develop budgeting and forecasting skills.
  • Learn from senior managers about best practices in budget management and financial forecasting.

Month end support

  • Assigns cost codes in line with guidance from the FBP
  • Assist finance operations team in assessing completeness of accruals
  • Assess completeness of transactions recorded in line with the budget
  • Review month end recons
  • Ad hoc Tasks
  • Ability to translate the numbers into outcomes using story telling
  • Decision Support
  • Prepare adhoc analysis as required by the Finance business partner: Technology or assigned by Finance Manco members and provide insights for decision making

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g. CIMA ACCA CPA CBAP) are advantageous.

EXPERIENCE

  • Strong understanding of finance processes controls and reporting requirements.
  • Experience working with finance systems (e.g. ERP planning/budgeting consolidation reporting tools).
  • Proven experience in business analysis within finance and/or IT environments.
  • Experience participating in system implementations or enhancements.
  • Solid understanding of data reporting and financial analytics concepts.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years experience in finance analyst role or finance business partner
