Role Overview
This role is centred on Product Governance within Rothschild & Cos Wealth Management business with responsibility for ensuring robust oversight regulatory compliance and the delivery of good client outcomes across the product lifecycle.
The role holder will also take on direct ownership of cash-based products ensuring their commercial effectiveness and alignment to client needs alongside governance responsibilities.
Product Governance (Core Focus)
Lead and support key governance forums including the Product Approval Committee Product Review groups and product related working groups
Ensure all products adhere to governance standards across the full product lifecycle (design approval launch and ongoing review)
Own and deliver core governance activities including:
New Product Post-Implementation Reviews (PIRs)
Annual Product & Service Reviews
Ongoing product monitoring and value assessments
Ensure governance outputs are of a high standard including:
Committee papers and packs
Management Information (MI) and reporting
Meeting minutes and decision tracking
Maintain and oversee product governance action logs ensuring actions are tracked owned and delivered within agreed timelines
Consumer Duty & Client Outcomes
Maintain Consumer Duty principles across all governance processes and product activities
Ensure products deliver good client outcomes supported by robust MI and clear evidence frameworks
Oversee:
Fair value assessments
Target market alignment
Customer understanding and communications
Ongoing monitoring of outcomes and risks
Governance Innovation (Tooling & AI)
Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency scalability and effectiveness of product governance with focus on;
Streamlining governance processes and workflows
Improving reporting MI and insight generation
Enhancing tracking of product risks actions and outcomes
Product Management (In Addition to Core Role)
Own the lifecycle and performance of cash-based products (e.g. deposits liquidity solutions)
Ensure products remain competitive commercially viable and aligned with client needs
Monitor:
Product performance and usage
Client outcomes and feedback
Market and competitor developments
Support product development enhancements and changes in line with governance requirements
Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships across Front Office Risk Compliance Legal and Operations
Act as a key contact for product governance and cash product-related matters
Influence stakeholders through clear data-driven communication and insight
Key Skills & Experience
3 years experience in Product Governance or Product Management within Wealth Management or Private Banking
Strong understanding of product governance frameworks and regulatory environments
Knowledge of cash-based products (preferred)
Experience delivering product reviews governance forums and lifecycle oversight
Strong understanding of Consumer Duty and client outcome frameworks
Excellent:
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Project management and organisational capability
Ability to prioritise and deliver under pressure
Interest in leveraging tooling and AI to improve governance processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
