Job Summary
Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US LLC is looking for an BU Controls Manager II in Houston Texas.
POSITION SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for supporting the sale of City Multi equipment by supporting regional sales team distribution and customers with the application and sales of METUS Controls within the METUS Business Unit
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Support METUS Commercial/Residential Equipment Sales teams in qualifying opportunities & presenting solutions to customers requiring advanced or standard controls solutions.
Build relationships within the Architect Engineer & Contractor community to promote METUS offerings define project scope package solutions and other METUS offerings to create competitive advantages and review final proposal.
Lead development of market strategy for controls and responsible for implementing strategy with other Business Unit team members.
Build close working relationships with all distribution channels to grow market awareness of all METUS offerings. Assist distribution in the application and sales of all offerings through pre and post-sales support.
Responsible for project proposals on an as-needed basis for advanced controls and support. Collaborate with the Controls Applications Team to develop project scope of work estimates and proposals.
Develop and maintain standards & best practices for applications design and support of advanced controls with Business Unit Team and Controls Applications Team
Support Controls Applications team with proposals and project turnover on an as needed basis.
Lead the creation and implementation of applications-based training for field sales HVAC specifiers and design professionals building owners and developers and distributors. Training includes knowledge transfer of existing product/applications and introduction of new products/applications.
Create and review technical documentation and collateral. Technical documentation includes but is not limited to application notes I&O manuals schematic drawings submittals engineering data and white papers.
Provide Tier 2 level customer support for distributors owner design professionals and contractors for application and technical support.
Willing to travel up to 50% within territory for customer meetings and to various Company meetings

QUALIFICATIONS:
10 years of experience in technical HVAC controls building management and/or integration or related field. Experience as an HVAC application sales engineer is preferred.
B.S. degree in electrical/computer/mechanical engineering computer science or technical in HVAC Control Systems or Computer Networking or equivalent is preferred.
Technical experience with DDC and low voltage controls BMS/BAS BACnet and networking.
Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office and similar standard business software applications
Strong leadership communication presentation training and technical writing skills
Analytical approach to problem solving; self-motivated.
Experience with a major BAS platform is preferred.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $128000 and $176000 per year however base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location job-related knowledge skills and experience.
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including target bonus plans and discretionary awards. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical dental vision and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employees eligible dependents. Employees will also receive 120 hours of vacation per year 56 hours of paid sick leave annually and 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year depending on hire date. Employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid or unpaid parental/disability/emergency/etc. leave if eligible.
