Job Description & Summary

A career within Delivering Deal Value (DDV) will provide you with the opportunity to help clients achieve maximum value on their deal transactions by solving transformational and other complex challenges. We focus on all operational aspects of a transaction pre- and post-close including pre-deal and functional due diligence enterprise-wide integrations and complex divestitures carve-outs and separations. Our work spans across a wide range of functional and cross-functional areas within diverse sectors and industries.

As a DDV Senior Manager you will join a dynamic team of problem solvers dedicated to helping clients navigate complex business challenges from strategy through execution. You will play a central role in driving value across the full deal lifecycle partnering with other competencies with PwCs Deals line of business in order to serve clients in delivering measurable results in high-stakes transactions.

The Opportunity:

OurteamassistsCorporate Private Equityand Pension Fundclients in their acquisition integration and divestiture activity. This team supports clients in all operational aspects of a deal pre- and post-completion including:

  • Buy- and sell-sidefunctionaldue diligence(i.e.OperationsHR Tech Cyber etc.)

  • Post-acquisition integrationplanning and execution

  • Carve-out and separationplanning andexecution including standalone cost analysis

  • Synergyidentification planningtrackingand execution

Your responsibilitiesas a Senior Managerwill include but are not limited to:

  • Manage multiple projects across variousvalue creationmandatesand lead teams to successful execution

  • Develop and execute integrationand separationstrategies

  • Manage multipleproject-level stakeholders across functionsto ensure ongoing project alignment and client satisfaction

  • Developspecificindustryexperiencewith the goalsbuilding depth andexpertiseinspecific sectors

  • Leadfunctional and cross-functionaldeliveryteams to execute plansmonitorprogress andachievedealobjectivesand value creationtargets

  • Providedelivery teams withinput insightobservationsand recommendations based on analysis planning and execution to enhance deliverable quality

  • Provide hands-on support todeliveryteams infunctionaldue diligenceanalysis integration and carve out mandates structuralandoperational improvements etc.

  • Proactively managescope of work effortsand project risksand act as quality control for quantitative and qualitative analysisand overall deliverables

  • Managedelivery teamutilizationproject-specificbudgetsandsupport administrators intimelyand efficient clientbilling

  • Support business development and pursuit activities to drive sales and revenue

  • Support DDV leadership with firm-building activitiesi.e.talent development performance management etc.

  • Coach and developteam members aligned with PwCsvalues to help them grow and thrive in their roles and to evolve as professionals within the firm

As part of the transaction process the DDV team rapidly develops a deep understanding of the target or client businessin order toidentifyand assess key operational issues synergies risks and value-creation opportunities surrounding each transaction.

We are looking for a candidate whobringsthe following experience and capabilities:

  • A track recordof functioning as a trusted advisor at the highest levels of client organizations grounded in deep competency invaluecreation andintegrationsand separations

  • Demonstratedexperience providing strategic advice and support to senior management with extensive knowledge of mergers acquisitions and divestitures including pre-dealfunctionaldue diligence integration planning separation planningstandalone costingsynergyand cost savings analysis and post-close transformation

  • Proven experiencemanaginglarge complex programs (e.g. global multi-functional engagements) with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across functions to deliver against dealobjectives

  • Working knowledge of key functional areas such asHR IT Finance Operationsand Sales and Marketing

  • Demonstrateexperience inone or moreindustry sectors including Financial Services Telecom Consumer Products EnergyIndustrialsandInfrastructure

  • Extensive ability to develop and manage strategic client relationships while consistently delivering the highest quality work across multiple concurrent client projects

  • Strong capability indevelopingboth quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex datacombined with exceptional critical thinking skillsto supportrecommendations anddecision-making

  • Experience leading business development and pursuit activities both internally with client pursuit teams and externally through client-facing meetings and proposal discussions

  • Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management responsibilities and tomanageteams through complex engagements including managing multiple engagements simultaneously

  • A drive to embrace AI to bring innovationefficiencyand differentiation to our clients along with a desire to continuously upskill for a digital world with an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work

  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differencesdevelopingand coaching diverse teams and ensuring that diverse perspectives are heard and integrated

The salary range for this position is $150000 - $200000. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. Given our national recruiting approach ranges may vary for positions in other locations. At PwC Canada base salary is determined by your skills experience qualifications and work addition to base salary eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm-wide achievements.
