Job Summary

The Senior Estimator is responsible for leading the preparation review and analysis of project cost estimates to support competitive accurate and profitable proposals. This role collaborates closely with Operations Project Controls and executive leadership to evaluate scope requirements develop pricing strategies assess risk and ensure alignment with execution plans. The Senior Estimator plays a critical role in driving project success by delivering comprehensive cost analyses performing detailed quantity take-offs and contributing to budgeting scheduling and subcontractor evaluations to strengthen overall bid quality and performance outcomes. 

What would you be doing 

  • Review proposal specifications drawings and estimates to determine scope and requirements. 
  • Provide input on estimating strategies including profitability risk management and execution. 
  • Consult with Operations to ensure accurate labour equipment and material pricing. 
  • Perform quantity take-offs for structural mechanical and civil components. 
  • Assist with work breakdown structures schedules subcontract analysis and budget updates.

Qualifications :

  • Strong knowledge of cost estimating processes construction methodology and project management functions. 
  • Ability to review and interpret construction drawings (P&ID Orthos Isos) and maintain accurate documentation. 
  • Excellent leadership teamwork organizational and analytical skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. 
  • Proficiency in estimating software Microsoft Excel Outlook Word and PowerPoint. 
  • Minimum 8 years of estimating experience in piping structural civil and pipeline with an engineering degree or technical diploma.
