Are you the Residential Aide we have been looking for In this position you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by working with people in the community!

Huntington At Symphony provides oversight and management of 25 units of subsidized housing for persons living with HIV/AIDS. This unique program also provides 24-hour concierge service and access to JRI Health Medical Case Management.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience education licensure certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

What Youll Do:

  • Report to the Program Director and Nurse Coordinators.
  • Working as part of a team in a residential program for fragile elderly residents to provide practical support and assistance with activities of daily living as well as emotional and social support to program residents.
  • Assisting program case managers and program coordinator.
  • Make regular contact with residents to ensure safety and well-being and to monitor needs for support.
  • Become and remain fully familiarized with each residents situation and needs through review of intake documents daily log case management notes staff meetings and interactions with residents.
  • Assisting residents with personal care (e.g. dressing bathing lifting and transferring as well as with practical support needs (cooking cleaning laundry shopping).
  • Accurately record in daily logbook all activities performed with each resident including personal care and practical support provided.
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
  • Certified Nurses Aide or Home Health certification preferred.
  • Experience in any of the following areas desirable: Special needs residential work hospice and home health care experience working with the elderly substance abuse or mental health treatment.
  • Excellent oral interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to issues related to the elderly mental illness racial/ethnic diversity and addiction.
  • Energetic and self-motivated reliability and flexibility.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to issues related to HIV substance abuse poverty & homelessness and other populations required.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.â
