Job Summary
- Bachelors degree (or higher) in a relevant field OR equivalent work experience
- Minimum of two years leadership experience with previous management of DOT-regulated fleets
- Strong commitment to safety forest stewardship customer satisfaction and teamwork
- Knowledgeable with DOT electronic logs and capable of using computer-based trucking dispatch and fleet management software daily
- Knowledge of shop maintenance and mechanics
Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills
- Effective planning and organizational skills with demonstrated results in achieving and sustaining business goals
- Proficient in the use of personal computers and related software applications (MS Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Working knowledge of the basic principles of business economics and the ability to apply those principles within the timberlands business
- Travel will be required during the week driving through the tree farm performing safety and production audits

What We Offer...
Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program and we are targeting a salary range of $90000 - $135000 based on your level of skills qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year providing a total of 88 holiday hours

Our Oregon Trucking team has an opening for a Transportation Supervisor. The location is based in our Goshen Office. This is a full-time position reporting to the Oregon Trucking Manager with salary level dependent on skills and experience. The role is responsible for management of the contract log truck companies that are working in our operational areas. Additionally the position will serve as back up to the supervisors managing company employees.
Key Functions
- Monitor safety environmental impacts and trucking costs for transportation contractors
- Perform pre-work safety inspections and needed follow-up and actively participate in unit safety/health programs
- Manage the rates and routes process for the hauls on the tree farms
- Demonstrate role model and provide education on company safety policies and safe work practices
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards -- Weyerhaeuser federal state and local
- Apply leadership skills in managing contractors evaluating and holding individuals accountable to job performance expectations
- Adhere to labor relations principles and abide by the language defined in the collective bargaining agreement when working with union hourly employees
- Coordinate with other forest management operations within the organization
- Fill in for other members of the trucking leadership team during times of their absen
