Delivery AssistantThe State Journal-Register$18.00 per hour.72 per mileGannett Publishing Services located in Springfield IL at The State Journal-Register is recruiting for a part-time Delivery Assistant for our Newspaper Distribution Center working up to 29 hours per individual provides general support for a Distribution center performing a variety of tasks and responsibilities within home delivery including the delivery of are looking for individuals willing to work night (3rdshift) with flexibility to work a consistent schedule of 2-5 days per and handling of daily and non-daily products to carriers haulers retailers and and load trucks containing various print the Distribution Center and prepare for the independent contractors arrival by printing preparing and distributing specified reports and industry-specific software to handle the required reporting for the housekeeping of the distribution centerComplete required documentation and reports for the center as with delivering newspapersRespond to and resolve subscriber service issuesMaintain and repair news racks throughout the designated distribution :Valid drivers license satisfactory motor vehicle record dependable automobile and liability insurance required. Strong organizational and communication skills required for a fast-paced environment. Good time management verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to push and pull carts loaded with newspapers weighing up to 500 pounds with assistance and repetitively lift newspaper bundles weighing up to 25 pounds.
