Our Events team in the Economic Development & Placemaking department is seeking a Civic Events Assistant to help us deliver an exciting and diverse range of civic and community events as part of the wider Events :The Civic Events Assistant will provide administrative and production support to the EDP team in order to deliver Councils Civic role is responsible for the provision of administrative and supporting duties and to assist in the planning & running of a range of Civic Community events ranging from Citizenship ceremonies official openings for capital works projects annual award programs and presentations as well as other reoccurring or one-off council ceremonies and the role:Carry out a range of administrative and production duties for the Events Team in order to deliver a range of Civic events such as Citizenship Ceremonies official opening events for capital works projects award programs and other civic receptions at various venues including outdoor open appropriate production supplier quotes such as catering furniture hire engraving printing distribution venues gifts performers forms of entertainment and amusements for activities etc for Councils Civic events make required recommendations to the Producer Events and events team and manage relevant supplier support from the Producer Events ensure that correct protocols are adhered to for Civic events and ceremonies including researching any new requirements as Civic Events Assistant will also work with the Events team to help deliver other events as required throughout the you:Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in administration/event ability to organise workloads effectively manage and perform a number of concurrent to work both autonomously and cooperatively in a team environment under tight time constraints with competing priorities and deadlines to achieve personal departmental and organisational information:View the position description online or contact Brooke McDonald Producer Events onor
