Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit Location: Atlanta GA Assignment Length: 13 Weeks Schedule: 36 Hours/Week Shift: Day or Night Shift Available
Compensation:
Pay Rate: $1800 $2000/week (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac nursing experience and the ability to care for intermediate and step-down patients with complex medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
Float across PCU and IMCU units as needed
Provide direct nursing care to intermediate and progressive care cardiac patients
Manage patients with conditions including:
STEMI
NSTEMI
Chest pain
Post-cardiac surgery recovery
Administer and monitor cardiac drips such as:
Milrinone
Dobutamine
Vasopressors
Monitor telemetry patients and respond to changes in condition
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care
Follow patient safety infection control and cardiac care protocols
Patient Ratio:
Typically 1:34 depending on patient acuity
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Step-Down or similar acute care RN experience required
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required
AHA BLS Certification required
AHA ACLS Certification required
Strong cardiac nursing and telemetry experience required
Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity environment
Excellent communication critical thinking and teamwork skills
