Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit
Location: Atlanta GA
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week
Shift: Day or Night Shift Available
Compensation:
- Pay Rate: $1800 $2000/week (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiac nursing experience and the ability to care for intermediate and step-down patients with complex medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Float across PCU and IMCU units as needed
- Provide direct nursing care to intermediate and progressive care cardiac patients
- Manage patients with conditions including:
- STEMI
- NSTEMI
- Chest pain
- Post-cardiac surgery recovery
- Administer and monitor cardiac drips such as:
- Milrinone
- Dobutamine
- Vasopressors
- Monitor telemetry patients and respond to changes in condition
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care
- Follow patient safety infection control and cardiac care protocols
Patient Ratio:
- Typically 1:34 depending on patient acuity
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Step-Down or similar acute care RN experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) License required
- AHA BLS Certification required
- AHA ACLS Certification required
- Strong cardiac nursing and telemetry experience required
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication critical thinking and teamwork skills
