Job Summary

Job Title: Summer SchoolMath Teacher	Grade Level: :Middle School 5th - 8th
Schedule: July 6 - July:00 AM - 12:00 PM	Application Deadline: Open until filled
Pay Range: $3000 - Stipend	Class Title: Part Time
Supervision Received: School Level Administration	Supervision Exercised: None

Anticipated Summer School MathTeacher:Summer School positions are dependent on Student enrollment.

General Statement:Provide support to the educational process with specific focus on instructional and mentoring practices. This includes maintaining a positive learning environment where all students are encouraged to participate ask questions and generally receive the individual attention they deserve to effectively learn the material in a lesson plan.

Responsibilities:

Teaches content and skills in school Mathematics.
Manage student learning in accordance with the goals of the District.
Implement lesson plans while ensuring the integrity of academic time and in a manner which motivates students to learn and participate.
Organize students for effective instruction.
Ensure the adequate supervision to assure health welfare and safety of all students.
Maintain and respect confidentiality of student and school personnel information.
Comply with and support school and District regulations and policies.
Must be able to follow oral and written directions and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and students.
Ability to maintain effective classroom management strategies.

Qualifications:

Experience:
- Experience working with the ALEKS learning platform including proficiency in managing assignments monitoring progress and supporting implementation.
- Knowledge of curriculum design lesson planning and pedagogy experience preferred.
- Experience in innovative problem based instruction preferred.
Education:
- Bachelors degree
Certification & Licensing:
- Must meet the current RI Department of Education requirements and or certifications.
Authorized to work in the USA
