Job Summary
Position: Nurse Practitioner
Location - Syracuse NY
Shift: Day Shift 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Active NYS Nurse Practitioner license/registration required
- NP specialty certification must align with area of practice
- Physician Assistant candidates must be NYS licensed/registered and NCCPA certified or eligible
- Medicare NPI number or eligibility to obtain required
- CPR and ACLS certification required
- Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance
Preferred Experience:
- Oncology experience strongly preferred
- Prior inpatient hospital experience highly desired
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with attending physicians to provide comprehensive patient care
- Perform health assessments and develop treatment plans
- Document patient care accurately and timely in medical records
- Provide patient and family education
- Utilize prescriptive authority in collaboration with attending physicians
- Perform patient care functions in an acute care setting with minimal supervision
Skills Required:
- Experience in the healthcare field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in an inpatient acute care environment
