Position Overview

What Youll Do:

• Oversee and lead the end-to-end general ledger (GL) function ensuring accurate timely and compliant monthly and quarterly close for the Price business unit.

• Lead mentor and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals fostering a culture of accountability innovation and continuous learning.

• Oversee the calculation and continuous improvement of key metrics and reserves including Utilization Rates and the Claim Adjustment Reserve ensuring accuracy transparency and alignment with operational drivers.

• Drive process optimization and standardization initiatives across the GL function leveraging automation AI and advanced analytics solutions and best practices to improve efficiency and scalability.

• Partner with the Enterprise Workday team to drive process transformation in our general ledger system.

• Manage the external audit be the key contact to the external audit team.

• Partner cross-functionally with Enterprise FP&A IT and Operations to align accounting processes with broader business objectives and system capabilities.

• Provide training support and development opportunities to team members to ensure high performance and engagement.

• Establish and strengthen internal controls ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements while supporting audit readiness.

What Youll Bring to Zelis:

• Bachelors degree in accountingand at least 8 years of relevant experience preferably with a background in public accounting (big 4 preferred).

• CPA required.

• A natural curiosity to problem-solving to understand the why behind outcomes.

• Proven experience in accounting management with a strong understanding of US GAAP operational accounting and internal controls.

• Proficiencyin accounting software (Workday) and Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.

• Advanced leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills withkeenattention to detailand a curiousmindset.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Base Salary Range

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors including experience education qualifications as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package which may also include discretionary bonus plans commissions or other incentives depending on the role.
