Under general supervision the Warehouse Worker handles the unloading unpacking and distribution of incoming shipments and campus mail. The incumbents responsibilities include tracking mail maintaining inventory accuracy and following safety and policy standards to ensure efficient service delivery and seamless operations throughout the Postal and Delivery Services.
- Receives incoming truck and parcel goods shipments utilizing a wide variety of powered and non-powered material handling equipment.
- Performs intercampus moves and processes surplus equipment and materials for disposal.
- Checks incoming material against packing slips or bills of lading to verify correctness condition and quantity.
- Prepares small freight items for shipment.
- Enters receipts into the Universitys computerized materials system.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
