Product Compliance Engineer

Step into the role

As Product Compliance Manager at MilDef you will play a key role in ensuring our products meet regulatory requirements in some of the worlds most demanding environments. This is a hands-on role where you combine structure pragmatism and collaboration to enable compliant product development across the organization.

You will establish and drive the way MilDef Products works with product compliance primarily within EU regulatory compliance and CE marking while also supporting US regulatory requirements where relevant. Rather than acting as a purely advisory function you will work closely with Product Owners and development teams to make compliance practical scalable and integrated into the product lifecycle from the start.

Key responsibilities

• Identify applicable regulatory requirements and translate them into practical product and engineering guidance

• Support projects in CE-related compliance work including directives standards evidence expectations and documentation readiness

• Build and improve scalable ways of working templates checklists and compliance structures across MDP

• Support US compliance activities where applicable such as FCC-related documentation and evidence handling

• Collaborate with Legal & Compliance to monitor upcoming regulations and assess product impact

• Translate regulatory updates into actionable inputs for Product Owners and development teams

• Ensure compliance expectations align with project deliverables and product documentation structures

What you bring

• Proven hands-on experience within product regulatory compliance in a product development environment

• Practical experience working with CE-related compliance directives standards and compliance documentation

• Strong ability to convert regulatory requirements into actionable engineering or product requirements

• Structured and pragmatic approach with strong documentation and collaboration skills

• Experience with US compliance requirements such as FCC documentation is considered an advantage

• Experience working with products across different regional regulatory frameworks particularly EU and US markets is meritorious
