Physics Teaching Role in a Technical Education Setting

A University Technical College in Wolverhampton is seeking to appoint a Physics Teacher to join its Science department from September. This is a full-time role within a specialist setting that focuses on STEM education technical learning and progression into engineering and related industries.

Physics is a central subject within the curriculum supporting students in developing scientific understanding alongside practical and technical application.


About the Role

You will teach Physics across Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering lessons that cover key areas including forces electricity energy waves and mechanics.

The role includes both theoretical teaching and practical laboratory work helping students apply scientific principles to real-world technical contexts.

You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Physics examinations supporting them in developing analytical thinking mathematical application and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver lessons covering key areas of Physics

  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records

  • Maintain safe laboratory environments

  • Contribute to STEM enrichment and technical learning activities
