Operations and Customer Quality Engineer (P9697)

Develop and apply quality standards and related tests in accordance with company and customer requirements. Perform complex investigations of customer quality issues and field escalations involving resources from engineering manufacturing quality field startup personnel operations and business management. Design and implement methods and procedures for inspecting testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment and lead 8D Problem Solving activities for customer-reported issues. Develop methods and parameters project methodology and/ or project proposals. Develop and use testing and validation procedures and prepare documentation for inspection/testing. Recommend corrective action for procedural product or process deficiencies and drive implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Gather operational and test data and evaluate results. Track progress of qualification status review reliability test results determine disposition of non-compliant products and review and release qualification packs. Participate and may lead audits. Utilize drawings specifications industry standards and sketches adapting inspection measuring devices and procedures when necessary. Read and interpret technical drawings and specification requirements. Reduce qualification cycle time and cost while still meeting quality performance requirements. Determine and define suspect production ranges to initiate containment activities and prevent the outflow of nonconforming tools to the customer. Participate in crossbusiness unit quality meetings and represent the Etch Business Unit as : Bachelors or foreign degree equivalent in Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field and five (5) years of experience in job offered or related occupation. Experience or coursework must include: 1. Data Analysis tools including Excel JMP and Tableau; 2. Product measurement tools including digital multimeter calipers micrometers and digital boroscope; 3.8D Problem Solving Fishbone Diagrams and 5 Whys analysis; 4. Root cause Analysis; 5. Knowledge of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) implementation; 6. Knowledge of GD&T; 7.
