2. It will help to provide at least 2 references from previous employers( with emial phone name and role)
3. Candidate has to work from Cognizant Plano office on 3 days every week

Job Description:
Senior Network Peering & Interconnection Engineer
Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior Network Peering & Interconnection Engineer to design operate and evolve a high-performance consumer-scale fiber broadband network. This role owns peering transit and interconnection strategy to ensure low latency high reliability and cost-efficient delivery of internet traffic for millions of users.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute regional and national peering strategies
- Manage settlement-free peering paid peering PNIs and transit
- Architect and operate BGP-based peering and backbone routing
- Perform traffic engineering capacity planning and performance optimization
- Lead incident response and troubleshooting across interconnects
- Enforce routing security best practices (RPKI IRR)
- Collaborate with automation NOC legal and procurement teams
Required Qualifications
- CCIE Routing & Switching (preferred) or equivalent
- 8 years ISP or broadband network experience
- Expert BGP IPv4/IPv6 ASN peering and transit knowledge
- Experience with IXPs and private interconnects HANDS-ON at Scripting
- Carrier-grade routing platforms experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Consumer fiber broadband experience
- Anycast or CDN interconnect exposure
