Were looking for a Head of Category Packaging and Communication Material based in Männedorf - to drive the development and implementation of a global procurement strategy for Packaging and Communication Materials maximizing the value of strategic sourcing across the organization.
This is your chance to take ownership of a global category influence key business decisions and deliver measurable results against quality cost and timing targets.
About the Job
Your main responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Develop and regularly update the category strategy as well as the supplier strategic plan and underlying policies.
Engage manage and support internal business stakeholders (budget owners) by building strong relationships and sharing category knowledge ensuring that defined goals and business expectations are met.
Negotiate conclude and manage global contracts in line with the Source-to-Contract policy.
Identify and manage sourcing risks and develop mitigation plans in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
Lead decentralized teams of sourcing professionals and buyers.
Lead strategic supplier relationships at an executive level including performance management development roadmaps and risk reviews.
Ensure that packaging strategies and suppliers comply with sustainability labeling and regulatory requirements (e.g. material compliance and ESG targets).
About You
We are looking for a unique and amazing talent who brings along the following:
Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field; an MBA is a strong advantage.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role with a strong and proven background in Packaging.
Extensive hands-on experience within Packaging procurement including market dynamics materials suppliers and category-specific risks.
Deep procurement expertise covering sourcing strategies governance risk management and procurement methodologies.
Strong analytical skills combined with excellent target pricing and cost management capabilities.
Solid experience in supplier management including performance management and strategic supplier relationships.
Practical experience working with SAP and Ariba with a clear understanding of end-to-end procurement processes.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
Excellent English skills (C1 level both written and spoken); additional languages are an asset.
Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to manage conflicts influence senior stakeholders and demonstrate effective lateral leadership.
