BIM Coordinator / BIM Manager / Civil Lead Engineer
Job Purpose
The BIM Modeller Civil Works is responsible for producing and managing civil BIM models and drawings in Autodesk Civil 3D for the light rail project. The role includes development of alignments corridors surfaces grading utilities interfaces and associated civil design documentation in compliance with project BIM standards and design requirements.
Missions/Main Duties
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update Civil 3D models for track corridors roads drainage earthworks utility diversions at-grade interfaces depot external works and other civil infrastructure associated with the project.
- Create and manage alignments profiles assemblies corridors surfaces and grading models.
- Maintain fully functional and up-to-date Civil3D models within the ACC-Forma collaborative platform ensuring proper data references file structure model accessibility version control and compliance with project collaboration workflows.
- Prepare plan and profile drawings cross-sections earthworks drawings utility layouts and general arrangement drawings.
- Coordinate civil models with structural architectural MEP rail systems and utility disciplines.
- Support design teams by converting engineering concepts and mark-ups into accurate BIM/CAD deliverables.
- Ensure all modelling and documentation comply with the BIM Execution Plan CAD/BIM standards coordinate systems and client delivery requirements.
- Participate in clash detection and design coordination reviews.
- Manage data references data shortcuts shared coordinates and file linking practices within the project environment.
- Assist in generating quantities cut-and-fill information and model-based outputs where required.
- Update deliverables in line with design revisions and comments from engineering teams.
- Maintain model integrity naming consistency and document control compliance.
- Support production of submissions across concept preliminary design detailed design and construction stages
Profile/Skills
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Infrastructure Drafting or related field.
- Proven experience as a Civil 3D Modeller / BIM Modeller on infrastructure projects.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Good understanding of civil engineering design principles including roads grading drainage and utility coordination.
- Ability to prepare plan/profile sheets cross-sections and corridor-based models.
- Familiarity with coordinate systems survey data and topographic modelling.
- Understanding of BIM processes model federation and multidisciplinary coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on light rail rail highway or urban infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of Navisworks for coordination and clash review.
- Familiarity with GIS survey integration and data exchange workflows.
- Experience within ISO 19650 or similar BIM management frameworks.
