The Network Administrator will provide administration configuration operations and maintenance services for the voice trunked radio and video-teleconferencing portions of the Fort Benning Network Management System.
Individuals must be able to attain and maintain a valid US Government security clearance to be retained in the position.
Duties & Responsibilities
Designs implements and supports network solutions.
Provide design and upgrades compliant with Information and Technology standards and initiatives development configuration and maintenance of secured and unsecured local area networks (LANs).
Analyzes LAN utilization statistics through data collection and performance measures of classified and unclassified networks.
Installs maintains troubleshoots and fine-tunes components such as switches routers firewalls and Virtual Private Network (VPN) end-user devices within the overall network connectivity.
Tests network systems to ensure current network software products are compatible with system configurations and to ensure operability efficiency and compliance with existing standards.
Performs function tests of systems components to identify and resolve technical problems analyze system malfunctions implement necessary corrective actions and provide ongoing support for the resolution of complex problems and operating malfunctions.
Performs system backups to ensure expedient restoration of the database for the respective network equipment.
Configures troubleshoots and analyzes technologies.
Assists with work requests and the entering of data for Workload Analysis Report.
Manages and maintains the Call Managers Gatekeepers and Gateway equipment if applicable on all networks.
Installs maintains troubleshoots and fine-tunes VoIP phone instruments; and operates and maintains Integrated Accesses Devices (IAD) supporting analog phones connected into the VoIP environment.
Ensures current network software products are compatible with system configurations and ensures operability efficiency and compliance with existing standards. Perform function tests of systems components to identify and resolve technical problems analyze system malfunctions implement necessary corrective actions and provide ongoing support for the resolution of complex problems and operating malfunctions.
Performs system backups to ensure expedient restoration of the database for the respective network equipment.
Assists in the implementation of VOIP upgrade.

Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelors degree in an IT-related field
Level II: 2 - 5 years experience in an IT environment.
Possess or able to obtain an IAT Level II certification Security or CCNA or CySA certification is strongly desired
National Security background investigation required Secret
Skill & Certification Requirements
Security CCNA or MS 7 certification are strongly desired
