Senior Oracle Database Administrator
Location: Remote (Austin TX 78751 United States) Payrate: $69 $79/Hr

Join a high-impact team as a Senior Oracle Database Administrator where you will play a critical role in maintaining upgrading and optimizing Oracle database environments that power enterprise ERP systems. Lead database upgrades from Oracle 19c to 23ai ensure robust security and high availability and drive performance tuning for mission-critical applications. Responsibilities
- Design and execute database upgrades and migrations from Oracle 19c to Oracle 23ai.
- Manage and maintain Oracle Grid Infrastructure including ASM and Clusterware.
- Oversee database security compliance and vulnerability remediation.
- Optimize and tune database performance for multiple ERP and ETL environments.
- Direct programmers and analysts to implement database changes and performance enhancements.
- Plan develop and monitor integrated database systems with a focus on scalability and reliability.
- Perform logical and physical data modeling and implement data dictionary standards.
- Ensure data integrity control redundancy and support disaster recovery procedures.
- Lead benchmarking threshold testing and support accessibility compliance for user interfaces.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for users and stakeholders.
- Participate in after-hours work as required for upgrades and critical project timelines.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8 years of infrastructure management with Oracle 19c or higher
- Expertise in Grid Infrastructure (ASM Clusterware)
- Proven experience with high-availability solutions (GoldenGate Active Data Guard)
- Advanced scripting proficiency in Linux and SQL
- Strong background in database performance tuning and security
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex multi-environment database systems
- Experience with data modeling and database recovery procedures
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting public sector organizations (Federal State or Local Government)
- Familiarity working with hosting vendors
- Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft products
