Support and supervise the provision of health services to promote the optimal level of wellness for all students. Administer emergency first aid and care. Assist with the identification of health-related barriers to learning and the creation and implementation of care plans which address the needs of the individual student. Train delegate and supervise school staff in procedures necessary to meet student health needs during the school day. Follow state guidelines for health office management delegation of tasks mandated screenings and state reports. Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with students parents staff and community members.

ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS:
- Supervise health assistants and provide evaluative feedback on their performance.
- Support the approved Eagle County School District RE50J curriculum and philosophy of education. Comply with district and school policies and procedures.
- Advocate for students with parents teachers school administrators and other governmental agencies on health issues.
- Assume responsibility for conducting mandatory vision and hearing screenings.
- Provides support in developing the school health program.
- Administer emergency first aid and CPR to students and staff in accordance with established protocols.
- Assist in the training delegation and supervision of unlicensed assistive personnel.
- Participate as a member of the special education team. Provide the health component for 504 accommodation plans and develop and implement health care plans as appropriate.
- Assist in the development and enforcement of policy to provide a safe school environment and participates as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
- Implement administrative policy and state law on exclusion and readmission of students in connection with contagious diseases and required immunizations.
- Establish and demonstrate positive human relations with students parents other staff members and the community.
- Serve as a liaison to parents school personnel physicians and other agencies on student health matters in accordance with administrative policy.
- Completes reports required by the State Department of Public Health.
- Maintain an ongoing program of professional growth that meets District expectations and personal professional goals.
- Develops and maintains a health record for all children.
- Ensure the accuracy completeness confidentiality and security of all student health information according to FERPA.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- RN license/BSN
- Active special service provider license issued by the state of Colorado preferred.
