GGG is seeking a multitasking and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our FSQA this role you will be responsible for monitoring transportation temperatures and product quality and assist in the warehouse inspection and sampling program. Overall the role will ensure the quality of incoming products and schedule samples for testing and conduct appropriate evaluations.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Respond to damaged product alerts by inspecting the product documenting findings (pictures/videos and lot/item information) and submitting a brief report
- Conduct random spot lot inspections for quality as needed
- Inspect warehouse for compliance following GMP and safety guidelines
- Monitor temperature recording devices weekly following FDA guidelines
- Maintain and organize inbound receiving paperwork for audits inspections or internal requests
- Conduct warehouse monthly audit
- Partner with warehouse management to ensure warehouse is audit ready
- Facilitate recalls and external 3rd party audits
- Collaborate with pest control to document issues and corrective actions communicating with maintenance and warehouse management
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in food science or related field preferred
- 1 years of related experience
- Working knowledge and understanding of food microbiology and food manufacturing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to work independently
- Demonstrate collaborative skills
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office
Salary: $45000 - $57000 annually plus bonus
