Job Title:

Product Head: Secured

Job Purpose:

Our client is seeking a Product Head Business Banking Secured Credit to lead the strategic direction product development delivery and lifecycle management of the secured credit portfolio. This role is responsible for driving product ownership and translating strategic objectives into market-leading solutions through effective leadership and collaboration. The successful candidate will oversee secured lending products such as Vehicle and Asset Finance (VAF) Property Finance and Specialised Loans as well as the associated loan management workflows collateral capabilities and end-to-end product lifecycle management.

This position requires a strong understanding of secured lending markets regulatory frameworks and customer segments within business and commercial banking. The role also encompasses oversight of the intuitive workflow capabilities and operational processes linked to secured credit this operating model a product may refer to a financial product digital channel platform or business capability

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of secured lending markets regulatory frameworks and customer segments within Business and Commercial Banking.
Sound knowledge of credit risk collateral processes and product lifecycle management.

Skills:

Ability to define and execute product strategies aligned with business objectives.
Strong leadership communication and stakeholder management skills.
Systems thinking and architectural understanding to guide product design and development decisions.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum requirement: Bachelors Degree. An Honours Degree would be advantageous.
812 years experience in secured lending product management ideally within retail or business banking environments.
Proven track record of:
- Leading cross-functional teams across Product Engineering and Delivery.
- Delivering large-scale lending products and platforms.
Demonstrated experience in:
- Product strategy development and lifecycle management.
- Managing credit risk appetite pricing models and product profitability.
- Driving digital transformation and automation within lending journeys.
- Vendor management budgeting and financial reporting related to product delivery.
