OurTargeted Intervention Coordinators play an integral role within Change Grow Live engaging young people in a range of interventions using a young person-centred approach to equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to make informed decisions around drugs and alcohol. Youll be supporting young people to increase their resilience reduce risks and lead safer happier and healthier lives.
Service: CGL The Link Derby City
Location: Derby (Citywide delivery)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Fulltime)
Contract: Permanent
Responsibilities
About the Role
Working across Derby City you will:
- Deliver targeted group work brief interventions and outreach to children and young people
- Build strong trusted partnerships with schools safeguarding teams and local services
- Support professionals to identify risk early and respond effectively
- Deliver training awareness sessions and professional consultation
- Coordinate volunteers and peer mentors to extend reach and engagement
- Use data insight and local intelligence to target support where it is most needed
You will be highly visible across education and community spaces contributing to early identification prevention and systemwide confidence in responding to risk.

Working Pattern
- 37.5 hours per week (Fulltime)
- Delivery across schools colleges community venues and CGL bases
- Peripatetic working aligned with service need and local delivery
Who This Role Is For
Youre an experienced professional with a calm confident and compassionate approach to working with children and young people particularly where there is risk vulnerability or safeguarding need.
You are comfortable balancing empathy with structure and working across different environments where no two days are the same.
You bring:
- Experience working with children and young people including those who are vulnerable or at risk
- Confidence delivering group work structured interventions or training in education or community settings
- Experience working alongside schools safeguarding teams or multiagency partners
- Strong communication organisation and relationshipbuilding skills
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and responsively
You may come from a background in:
- Education or schoolbased services
- Youth work or youth offending services
- Safeguarding or early help
- Health wellbeing or community outreach
