Sheet Metal Foreman

Description

Typical Duties

• Select gauge and type of sheet metal according to products being fabricated or installed.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers.
• Interpret specifications blue prints and work orders as needed for an area of supervision.
• Install and direct installation of assemblies in buildings or work-sites.
• Interpretcompany policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
• Establishand adjustwork sequences to meet construction schedules using knowledge of equipment materials and the capabilities of assigned personnel.
• Studyschedules and estimateworker-hour requirements for completion of job.
• Analyzeand resolvework problems.
• Maintaintime records and coordinates schedules.
• Provideinput for project estimates and schedules.
• Coordinateproject activities with other trades.
• Superviseand coordinatesub contractor activities.
• Works in conjunction with the assigned project manager to coordinate project schedules deliveries and activities.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working on construction sites and have followed construction safety guidelines
• Experience with planning layout fabricating assembling installing and repairing sheet metal parts equipment and products utilizing a knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and nonmetallic materials machining and layout techniques
• Ability to interpret specifications blue prints and work orders
• Ability to analyze and solve work problems
• Ability to study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion
• Experience leading craft workers and coordinating activities
• Ability to use MS Office to include Outlook email
